I agree - that's the best way to go... just learning to make smarter choices, not necessarily restricting things. I honestly believe the absolute best thing you can do - although it's tedious - is to track everything you put in your mouth. It's so eye-opening. I've been doing it since November of last year and it has changed my life. There are lots of online calorie counters, but I use the one on www.sparkpeople.com and love it. Best of luck!
